The main premise was to conceive a store that transcended the conventional notion of a self-service commerce. Rather, the aim was to create the sensation of being inside a delicatessen store, and especially, a wine cellar.
What sets Vinos América apart is its wide variety of labels, along with an extensive range of spirits and liquors; therefore, the strategic arrangement of diverse products was crucial. This goal was achieved by using furniture made of both wood and steel, surrounding the central bar, evoking echoes of the lightboxes traditionally employed in American diners.
For the exterior, we believed it was pertinent that the design and materiality, both of the shop windows and the facade in general, reflected the same attention to detail as the interior; creating coherence between the exterior and interior, we decided to use stone mosaic as a unifying element of the architectural language.
